Recovery Focus becomes a Synergi Pledge Supporter

Recovery Focus has signed up to be a Pledge Supporter under our National Pledge to reduce ethnic inequalities in mental health systems.

An expert group of charities inspiring recovery together by providing mental health, substance misuse and domestic violence services, Recovery Focus has signed up to share knowledge and to collaborate around the Pledge commitments.

Tracey Bell, Group Director of Performance, Quality and Innovation at Recovery Focus, said: “Recovery Focus fully supports Synergi’s National Pledge to reduce inequalities in mental health systems. There is no doubt that urgent action is needed to address the longstanding disparities facing people from ethnic backgrounds accessing mental health services. As an organisation we are committed to being an inclusive service provider – ensuring that every individual is treated with  respect and dignity, with equality of experience and outcome.

We are continuously developing our systems so we better understand the needs of the people we support and adapt and improve our services accordingly. We must all unite and fight discrimination, wherever we see it. We will work with all our partners to achieve meaningful and sustainable change to ensure that mental health services work for everyone. There is no place for racism in mental health services and our society.”
